SearchForJohn is a metasearch engine, aggregating the results of other search engines while not storing information about its users.

• NextDNS protects you from all kinds of security threats, blocks ads and trackers on websites and in apps and provides a safe and supervised Internet for kids — on all devices and on all networks. (And if you use my link, I get a kick-back!)

• LibRedirect is a software I personally suggest test out as it allows for redirecting popular/crontrivercial platforms to alternitive FOSS/Libre frontends that typically respect users privacy to a higher degree.

My Side Projects.

• GenPWD a password generator designed to make non-essential temporary passwords at scale to increase productivity. (Please note passwords are not cryptographically sound but do have high entropy and are not suited for long term use as a result)

• I also made/significantly contribicuted to a Zorin OS Upgrader tool to convert core versions to pro versions without paying for them. The tool comes with no support however and you use at your own risk!

• For those who have screen burn in, i also made a lazy Burn In Bandaid to aid with the effects of screen burn in.

• (DISCONTINUED) I also made a windows script for messing with people “non-destructively” however it proved too powerful. if you really want it it is available from my TrollScript repo… however i wont be held responsable if you mess something up with it. you have been warned!

SearchForJohn supports OpenSearch. For more information on changing your default search engine, see your browser’s documentation:

• Chromium - based browsers only add websites that the user navigates to without a path.

How does it work?

SearchForJohn is a fork of the well-known SearXNG metasearch engine which was inspired by the Seeks project. It provides basic privacy by mixing your queries with searches on other platforms without storing search data. SearchForJohn can be added to your browser’s search bar; moreover, it can be set as the default search engine.
